Whilst at UCL Medical School, Dr Ricardo ranked 4th out of 200 students and received a record number of Awards. Dr Ricardo has been the recipient of multiple travelling awards (RSM 2002 & RNID 2006) to visit distinguished ENT Institutions in the USA, Hong Kong and Canada (MSKCC & MEEI, QMH and TGH).
- Fully trained British ENT Head & Neck Surgeon with Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Otolaryngology, UK.
- Practices evidence-based patient-centred ENT Medicine and Surgery.
- A strong advocate of WHO check list for Safety in Surgery.
- Author of over 100 publications including 7 ENT Books, 4 ENT Chapters, Evidence-based Reviews and National Audits on Standards in ENT practice.
- A reviewer for multiple journals (eg Clinical Otolaryngology, International Journal of Otolaryngology and Case Reports in Pediatrics).
